For a short time in the fall the Lake Louise area turns spectacularly golden! One of the best and easiest ways to see larch trees is by riding the Lake Louise Gondola and hiking the 1.7km return 'Kicking Horse viewpoint' trail. The trail is well maintained but does have a steep section. With the largest parking lot in the area, incredibly good value ride and dine packages and the mid-mountain Whitehorn Lodge what are you waiting for? The Larches don't stay golden for long!
